AgriBank Extends Remote Work Requirement for Employees Through May 29

Office to Reopen June 1; Bank Remains Fully Operational Through Coronavirus Pandemic

ST. PAUL, Minn., April 28, 2020 – AgriBank today announced that its approximately 120 employees, who are based in St. Paul, will continue working from home or another remote location through May 29, 2020 in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This requirement, which began on March 17 and previously had been extended to run through May 1, is mandatory for all employees except those designated by executive leadership to report to the office for specific purposes.

"Based on direction from governmental authorities, AgriBank employees will work remotely for a while longer, which will continue to facilitate social distancing to guard against contracting or spreading the virus," said AgriBank CEO Jeff Swanhorst. "We monitor this unusual situation daily so that we can continue business operations uninterrupted, meet customers' needs and help keep everyone safe."

AgriBank is developing a plan to transition employees back to the office starting June 1, although the date could change again given the fluidity of the situation. The transition likely will be flexible, gradual and staggered based on employee and department needs, as well as ongoing health and safety concerns.
