Work Extended Without Target Return Date; New Health and Safety Protocols in
ST. PAUL, Minn., July 2, 2020 – AgriBank today announced that its employees and contractors will continue to work remotely, as they have since mid-March due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, until management determines workers can return safely to their downtown St. Paul office.
"The change in COVID-19 cases across the U.S. and the metrics we're tracking for Minnesota indicate it's premature to begin winding down our remote work protocols and returning to the office in July, as we had anticipated," said AgriBank CEO Jeff Swanhorst. "Instead of setting a new return date, AgriBank will follow a metrics-based approach as guidance for transitioning to, and if necessary from, the office."
Under the approach, management will use metrics and other considerations to assess the work environment and inform decisions as to whether employees should work in the office or remotely.
AgriBank is following guidelines related to COVID-19 from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Minnesota Department of Health. Plans may continue to evolve as circumstances change.
Through the pandemic, AgriBank has successfully continued to obtain funds and provide funding and financial solutions to its customer/owners in support of rural communities and agriculture.
