The services and products AgriBank offers are broad and diverse. That’s because we serve a wide-ranging group of Farm Credit System associations, which in turn provide financial services to farmers, ranchers, and rural America – producing everything from corn to cattle, wheat to wood products, and rice to renewable energy. In fact, AgriBank helps associations finance the production and processing of over 300 different commodities. We work hard every day doing things that allow associations to do what they do best – serve the financial needs of their marketplace. AgriBank activities that support the associations include asset/liability management, developing a wide array of loan products to meet the capital needs of farmers and rural America, and providing a range of business services for our Association clients. AgriBank services and products are equally diverse as the Associations we serve to meet their needs.
Treasury and Financial Reporting
Our Treasury Department ensures that AgriBank has the cash it needs to provide our client Associations with the best and broadest array of services. They include liquidity and cash management services, a variety of sophisticated loan products, efficient operations, and centralized asset/liability risk management, all designed to help Associations effectively meet their retail customers’ needs throughout rural America. We provide financial reporting services to many Associations across the District.
The AgriBank Credit Department helps guide District credit activity. It provides Associations with research and credit risk evaluation, and helps them maintain the quality of their loan portfolios. The Credit Department also provides:
- Commercial Lending - buys participation in large retail loans from Associations
- Insurance Operations - provides support in the area of insurance
- Mineral Interest Management - obtains royalty fees from oil and gas leases
Information Services (IS)
In addition to providing client Associations with top-notch IT and information management support, IS is responsible for loan processing and, in fact, processes more loans than any other organization in the Farm Credit System.
