6.3.13 - AgriBank Names 2013 William J. Collins Scholarship Winners
St. Paul, Minn., June 3, 2013 – Today St. Paul based AgriBank named two winners of the annual William J. Collins Scholarship.
William J. Collins Scholarships support the next generation of agriculture professionals with scholarships for children of AgriBank District employees who are planning to pursue careers in agriculture. AgriBank offers this scholarship in partnership with Agriculture Future of America’s Leader and Academic Scholarship program.
This year’s winners are Lucas Bauer and Abby Resch.

5.10.13 - AgriBank Reports First Quarter 2013 Financial Results
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Today St. Paul based AgriBank announced financial results for the first quarter of 2013.
Highlights
- Net income rose 22% to $140.0 million for the first quarter of 2013. Net interest income was $128.3 million compared with $109.0 million for same period of 2012. Non-interest income was $40.9 million, up 16% from $35.3 million.
- Loan portfolio credit quality remains strong as loan loss provisions decreased 82% to $0.5 million and non-adverse loans stood at 99.8%.
- Cash and investments totaled $12.8 billion at the end of the quarter, compared with $12.1 billion at the end of last year. End of the period liquidity was 165 days, well above the regulatory requirement. Capital increased $102.2 million from year end to $4.4 billion.

3.14.13 - AgriBank Announces 2013 Board of Directors
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Today AgriBank announced its 2013 board of directors. Dick Davidson was reelected as the board’s chair and Doug Felton was elected as the new vice chair.
Davidson and Felton were elected by members of the AgriBank board during AgriBank’s annual meeting in Memphis.
The AgriBank board has also appointed financial expert Natalie Laackman as an outside director to the board.

3.1.13 - AgriBank Reports Fourth Quarter 2012 and Year End Financial Results
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Today St. Paul based AgriBank announced financial results for the fourth quarter of 2012 and year end, reporting continued strong levels of net income, capital, liquidity and credit quality.
“Continued demand, coupled with the 2012 drought, and resulting anticipated small carryover stocks, kept key district commodity prices strong. Most crop producers purchased crop insurance which contributed to solid incomes. Many livestock producers used hedging strategies to mitigate exposure to higher feed costs,” said AgriBank CEO Bill York. “Near record net farm income fueled increasing land values, and concerns about tax changes drove many real estate transactions. These factors, and continued opportunities to refinance to lower cost debt, contributed to the strong growth and earnings achieved.”

ST. PAUL, Minn., December 21, 2012 – Just in time for the holidays, North Dakota’s Farm Credit organizations are announcing $133,000 in grants for projects that support western North Dakota communities.
Eleven grants were awarded to worthy community projects, focused on supporting those cities and towns that have been impacted by oil and mineral exploration and production.

11.28.12 - Farm Credit Groups Award Inaugural Rural Community Grants
ST. PAUL, Minn., November 28, 2012 –Today three Farm Credit organizations announced more than a quarter of a million dollars in grants for projects that support Western North Dakota communities.
St. Paul based AgriBank joined Farm Credit Services of Mandan and Farm Credit Services of North Dakota in announcing the first ever awards made under the Rural Community Grant Fund. The organizations started the fund to support infrastructure and development projects that benefit communities in Western North Dakota. Eleven grants totaling $266,984 were awarded to worthy community projects, focused on supporting those cities and towns that have been impacted by oil and mineral exploration and production.
“Farm Credit’s mission is to meet the needs of rural America,” said Bill York, CEO of AgriBank. “We are proud to work with the North Dakota associations to support these critical efforts in local communities in a way that carries out that mission.”

Cleveland – (Aug. 28, 2012) – Three of the nation’s leading agricultural lenders have joined forces to provide financial support for beginning urban farmers in Cleveland as part of the city’s “Gardening for Greenbacks” program.
Minneapolis-based AgriBank, Denver-based CoBank and Louisville-based Farm Credit Mid-America each committed $45,000 to the program for a total donation of $135,000. All three institutions are members of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of banks and associations chartered to meet the credit needs of agriculture and other key rural industries.
